How 2010 has flown, is it already nearly November?
Our October meeting was well attended by members as well as visitors, who we hope to see back in November as club members with photo submissions. New One Star photographers are vital to sustain growth and standards in the club, and members are encouraged to make every effort to recruit aspirant or existing photographers. Remember the equipment is NOT as important as having the ‘creative eye’ for an image, as we have seen merit awards for shots taken with point and shoot, and even cell phone cameras! Great to have both Ari and Varkie with us, sharing their quality time off work – thanks guys.
Henry has agreed to present our next Set Subject Mini Workshop on the topic ‘Rule of Thirds’. Kicking off with the October ‘Self Portrait’ Set Subject, great work was submitted, and a lot of effort went into creating some very clever and well thought out portraits.
